copyright law

I haven't learned anything new. Both of my parents are teachers in public school, so I've encountered a lot of these kinds of situations that were outlined in the little page. I hadn't realized you could only use 30 seconds of audio, however.

  1. 30 seconds isn't much at all. I had a thought about that today- and don't ask why the thought popped into my head...I think I was devising a plan for my next video to make at school. Anyway, the thought led to my wondering if you could take 30 seconds of music and edit it in audacity or garage band to have it loop for oh....4 minutes. Gray area? Perhaps...Is that going to stop me from attempting this? Nope.

  2. yeah, it's pretty easy. you just copy that segment, copy and paste it. Garage band would be easier, as there's some things you can do to make the loop smoother.

I used to edit a lot of video, and often I'd need to loop a music bed to make it fit the entire piece.

So, a great question and not a gray area at all. Go for it!

  3. Though, if you're using Garage Band, it might be easier to just make a little beat yourself...
